Fishing in the Hotel's Pond
"Tight lines" to all fishing enthusiasts: Fishing on holiday
The hotel has its own pond for fishing enthusiasts and aspiring anglers in the middle of a floodplain forest in the nearby strictly protected Mur floodplains. After extensive efforts more than two decades ago to improve water quality, the Mur River has now become one of the cleanest rivers in the country and is particularly rich in fish.
An angler's paradise
Individual fish faunas form in back waters, floodplains and slow flowing areas in particular. Here, you find species such as carp, pike, catfish, roach, rudd, moderlieschen, asp, bleak, tench or bitterling. Fishing in the hotel's pond in the Mur floodplains is free for hotel guests.
Biotope in the Mur floodplains
As the different biotopes in the Mur floodplains are closely linked within a small geographical area, you can meet many groups of animals here, not to mention the abundant fish populations, which can enrich and add a little excitement to your day's fishing. The region is considered to be a refuge for threatened animal species. There is also an abundant birdlife. The floodplains play an important role as a resting and sleeping place for species of birds that stop off here on their migration route.
